the king's room was amazing, filled with character and history. breakfast was lovely. the staff were helpful.

i found the sash windows tricky to close (i didn't realize the window was open the first night). the room did not have curtains. i also struggled turning the heating off, since the room was too hot.

Our room felt quite cramped and the furniture wasn't that comfortable. the mattress really needs a topper. It was saggy and lumpy. i think we were just unlucky. also, breakfast wasn't great. the full english was poorly cooked. The sausage was half cooked and the bacon barely saw a grill.

the luxury king suite was spacious and quite grand, the bed was enormous. staff were polite and helpful always. breakfast was served at the sister hotel nearby and it was good with a wide array of options. this will certainly be my hotel when i return.

the bathroom was not really clean, splatters marked the walls, dust layered surfaces, and toothpaste stained the mirror. the toilet seat could use replacement, detracting from the overall experience.

The suite had soft towels. It had plenty of tea, coffee, decaf options plus hot chocolate. Toiletries were provided. the bed was so comfortable. there was a large window, allowing much natural light.
